Question Does my MOS have a top secret or just a secret security clearance?

89D EOD. Some websites have told me that I'll have a TS clearance and some have said just a Secret clearance. Which is it?
Also, Im going this Monday (the 21st) for my first interview, Im pretty nervous about it, any tips/hints will be greatly appreciated.

I'm almost positive that a Secret clearance is all that's required for EOD, at least initially.

Do you have the MOS locked in yet? Since you're going for your first interview on Monday I assume not.

I suggest that you do a little studying for the ASVAB over the weekend & take some sample tests because your Recruiter will probably give you a practice ASVAB to see where you're at.

Yea, I have it locked in, Ive been to MEPS, taken the ASVAB, and signed my contract. This interview is with someone from the DoD(?), she said we're gonna talk about the security clearance packet that I filled out at MEPS, which I already did with a lady at MEPS.

I've went through the security interview and its really no big deal don't sweat it, mostly you'll just go over what you filled out at MEPS and maybe a couple of other questions. As long as your honest about everything then shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Oh, sure. That's routine for a Secret clearance upon enlistment. Nothing to be worried about.

Well, there's also a little bit of a hitch. On the first packet that my recruiter gave me, I put down that Ive experimented with pot a few times over the past few years, then at MEPS I told the doctor that Ive never smoked pot. Oops, do you think the inconsistencies will be noticed, and is there something Id be able to do about it. I was just scared to tell the doctor yes, but now I wish I had told the truth.
