Welcome to the site, Pablo. Congratualtions on your Cav Scout contract.

You have some time to get into good physical shape & I suggest you do that to make things easier at OSUT. 19D like Infantry can be pretty intense as are all Combat Arms MOSs.

One of our members, DerekB, is about to ship to 19D OSUT but I doubt if we'll hear from him. He just got married, is on his honeymoon & will ship out right after.

Ya I've been running and doing push-ups and sit-ups constantly. My recruiter has all the recruits come on Monday Wednesday and Friday too to do PT in the mornings. Running is the big one I need to work on.

Make sure you have a good pair of running shoes, Ian. The nice thing that except for running shoes you don't need any special equipment for doing pushups, situps & running.

I'd advise that on your non- Recruiter's PT days that you continue doing pushups & situps & some other alternate forms of PT like swimming, biking long walks, etc. Also do some pullups daily.

While watching TV do pushups alternating with situps each time a commercial comes on. You'll be doing hundreds each day I guarantee you.

Go get a iron gym. I think they're 30 bucks and they're great for pull-ups

Good idea, however, very limited in the income department right now. Swing set is free!
