    Default Enlisted today, 92G!

Signed my contract and enlisted today as 92G. Not my first pick of jobs, but with the selection they have right now, it's the best out of the group I had to choose from. I'm happy with it. Can't wait to ship to Fort Jackson on 20100830!!

I shoulda been a cook. I can open an MRE with great ease & before that C rats with my trusty P38.

Serving is serving & regardless which MOS you get you'll be a Soldier. The MOS you wind up with is one in which the Army needs to be filled & therefore important.

You can only pick from jobs which are available. And each day that list gets smaller and smaller. So, I chose something that would have somewhat of an interest to me. Plus, soon enough i'll be finishing my degree and at that point, I plan on applying for Officers School. (Also, before that I will be transfering to a new MOS .. LOL. Hopefully something in the 68 series. Otherwise, I will gladly cook and wait for a spot to open )

I agree with you there! Everyone serves in their own spot because the Army needed them there. I'm just happy to be on board the good ol' fight Not to mention, the pride that comes along with the title and the uniform. Oh how I can't wait until August when I ship!
