I'd be more ok with it if it didn't display the identity of the people that hit "Like". I'm kinda big on PERSEC, and linking your Facebook profile to a military site is a no-no.![]()

And I don't use Facebook at all. If friends & family want to communicate with me I'm only a phonecall or e mail away.
However I might just give it a try one day. I especially don't like to put my full name anywhere on the web & that would defeat the purpose of the whole idea.

X3.This Soldier agrees with everyone. PERSEC comes first..
The base is so large it has its own 'neighborhoods'. These include: 'KBR-land' (a Halliburton subsidiary company); 'CJSOTF' which is home to ' the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force' and is surrounded by especially high walls that is, according to The Washington Post, so secretive that even the base Army public affairs chief has never been inside.
Armygirl, Grunt & Papachop! Thanks for the feedback. Here is how it works. When you hit 'like', it shows up on your facebook status feed with the sentence..."Jared Smith likes <post title>", and links back to the post URL on the forum.
When random(or otherwise) people are viewing the forum...the like button simply says "110 people like this page", it does not tell them who or give them any other information. The single exception to this...is if one of your Facebook Friends is browsing the forum, and they see "110 people like this page" AND since they are your friend, Facebook will add..."Your friend Jared Smith likes this page".
The like button does not display your name to anyone unless they are already your 'Friend' on facebook.
This is the little facebook button at the top of EACH post. This is not the facebook box on the homepage. I will explain that in this thread.
Facebook Fan Box
Great feedback, please keep it coming!
If someone chose to click on the highlighted 110 people, they would get a clickable list of those people who liked the status.
As I said in the other thread, it's not a feature that I will be utilizing, there is no need for the crossover for me.

I've adjusted it so it CANNOT show any information about who likes what. It will always JUST shows a number and nothing else.
